I was just listening to the Phantasy Star Online Episode III Soundtrack's list of songs, when the song 'Tower of Caelum' came on. It's my favorite level in the game, because for some reason, those odd elevator-like levels are just so cool in my eyes.
I remember trying to make a level similar to Olga Flows from Phantasy Star Online Episode II, but that didn't work too well. Somehow it still made it into the Mac Lab's 'Best of', so I'm not complaining about it. ^^
But it's been two years. I think it's time for a renovation to that old thing. So here we have the Skyward Elevator, a tower that reaches all the way up to the edge of the atmosphere to bring supplies to shipment vessels, and munitions to battleships. In the center is the 'Key' to the whole building; an axis that maintains the narrow structure's stability perpetually.
So far, what you're looking at is the underground segment of the tower. The above ground portion has windows all around, which look out upon a vast landscape.
